Spotted
Spotted (spottedby.me) builds interactive travel maps from publicly available YouTube videos. Each map shows places a creator mentioned in their videos, with a short quote and a link back to the original video.
We process public YouTube content only: video titles, publicly available subtitles/transcripts, and public channel information (name, handle, avatar). We do not access private videos, private account data, or YouTube user accounts.
Spotted has no user accounts and no sign-up. We use a self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) to count anonymous page views and interactions — no advertising trackers, no third-party tracking cookies, no sale of data to anyone.
The optional “Near me” feature uses your device location only in your browser, only after you allow it, and only to filter places on the map. Your location is never sent to or stored on our servers.
Maps are built from public content. If a map of your channel exists and you want it changed or removed, email [email protected] — we'll handle it promptly.
